For grown ups - I'm writing humorous feature articles for magazines and newspapers. I'm also mid-way through a radio play about a clinic with a dialogue that can only be described as 'Carry On' in style! I'm doing a non-fiction book on my time as a househusband which seems to make women laugh...story of my life (literally)!
For children - I'm working on a new pre-teen story called "The Moplet":
It's 1933 and Toby and his father have moved to Battledown in Bedfordshire. Toby struggles to adjust to life in the country, and seems to make more enemies at school than friends. Things get worse, when Toby discovers something strange at the abandoned, some say haunted, zoo on the edge of the village and nobody believes him. The powerful Lord Pettershaw intends to turn the old zoo into a weapons factory, and will stop at nothing to further his money-making plans. Toby finds himself in a desperate race to save a creature called the Moplet before Lord Pettershaw reaches it first...with fatal consequences.
All in all, it's going to be a busy 2008!
