Your self help books will have provided you with a comprehensive list of writing do's and don't's which you can now factor into a complete rewrite of your first draft. Don't be disheartened that the list is several pages long and your work is full of schoolboy errors. This is perfectly normal, and the good thing is, at least you had a schoolboy in your first draft. I didn't. Which wasn't good in a novel targeted at schoolboys. Doh.
Top Tip: If you want your work criticised, give it to your friends and family to read, if you want it critiqued, pay a professional.
