It's time to put everything you've learned into practice. So pick up your manuscript, set it to one side, and start all over again. But this time, begin with the structure map, plot plan and character backgrounds you skipped before. Come back in several months when you've finished (and had it professionally critiqued).
All done? Good. Now there's that little business of getting it published.
